Bill Magee has over twenty-five years experience in Fortune 500 environments defining product direction and implementing them.  His experience encompasses primary and secondary market and customer research, investigating the competition and their positioning, developing product priorities and schedules, and providing business metrics updates and checkpoints using product business case development and team reviews. He has directed the marketing efforts on numerous product programs and interacted with customers thru sales channel development and product support training, as well as and trade show participation.

Magee received a Master's degree in Materials Engineering, with a full graduate assistant scholarship; a Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Engineering, both from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Magee was also a licensed New York State Professional Engineer (1983 - 1986). Magee is also PMI-certified Project Management Professional (PMP, 2015).

  1. In 2001, founded and grew a product development consulting firm, helping clients improve the efficiency of their product development organizations. Added skills and capabilities to address clients needs on six sigma process improvement, creating and managing lead management / sales forecasting tools (CRM / ERP systems), and revising / formalizing product concept to delivery processes.

  2. A specialist in the launching of new products; efforts which resulted in a 250% overachievement in activity in 1997 and vaulted Xerox to the forefront in a product category.  Managed the engineering-marketing-customer pathway to ensure timely delivery at minimum cost.

  3. Managed the Convenience Copier strategy and planning development office.  Responsible for determining the business units marketing plan and determining the correct product strategy to increase revenue and profits in that market-space.  Required working with development teams and sales channels to identify and prioritize the best array of products.
